Reorganization of Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.

On June 01, 2016 the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation has been abolished (The Presidential Decree Russian Federation from April 05, 2016 "About enhancement of public administration in the sphere of control in narcotics, psychotropic substances  trafficking and their precursors  and in the sphere of migration".) and its functions have been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation .

For questions of migration is now the Head Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation responsible.

In this regard  there are some changes in the procedure of issuing work permits for foreign citizens.
